If you read my post about our recent trip to DC, you may remember that we had a peaches and cream dessert that was absolutely amazing (if you haven’t read it, you can here). We went to the Davidson Farmer’s Market with my parents last weekend and bought some peaches that looked amazing, but weren’t quite ripe. As they started to soften this week, we knew they would be perfect for peaches and cream! Dustin and I did our best to recreate the Momofuku recipe and, I must say, we did pretty good.
We started by cutting each peach in half and removing the pits. Then we rubbed the front side with a little olive oil.
We then placed the peaches face down on a medium heated grill. We grilled them for about three minutes and then flipped them skin side down and grilled for an additional minute.
When we brought them in I dipped them in cinnamon sugar and topped with freshly made cinnamon whipped cream.
This dessert was so light and fresh and just tasted like summer. It was so simple and delicious that we will definitely be making this again soon!
